Fairborn Self Storage is searching for an individual with strong customer service and retail sales experience to fill a PART TIME Self Storage Sales and Leasing position. Please read this entire posting before applying…Thanks.
The best candidates for this position will be looking for a steady PART TIME job, live in Fairborn, be able to work flexible/varying hours including Saturdays, pass a pre-employment drug screening and have the following:
Excellent customer service skills and retail sales experience
Be self motivated, able to take initiative and work unsupervised
Have Valid Driver’s License and transportation
Computer Literate (MS Windows and MS Office)
Organizational and multi-tasking skills
Job Duties include:
Helping storage customers determine what size unit will best fit their needs in person, on phone and through e-mail.
Driving storage customers around on golf cart to present features of facility and different sizes of units available.
Sales Sales Sales…self storage is a competitive retail sales environment where first impressions of high customer care, service and appreciation are key to closing sales.
Accurate completion of self storage lease paperwork, explanation of terms and reports
Accurate entering of customer data into computer
Light maintenance & housekeeping, including sweeping out units, unlocking and locking of storage doors, picking up litter on property, keeping office clean and inventory organized.
Other duties as assigned

Low and No Interest Loans Available for Fairborn Homeowners to fix up homes

It’s part of Fairborn’s Neighborhood Betterment Division and the money comes from the Community Development Block Grant.

As part of its on-going efforts to provide quality affordable housing, the City of Fairborn has been active in providing low and no interest loans to homeowners to address persistent housing code violations and to eliminate dangerous and deteriorating conditions which may affect neighborhood property values.The City’s Residential Rehabilitation Program, funded entirely through the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant program, is designed to provide financial assistance to low and moderate income homeowners in the City of Fairborn. To qualify, the applicant must be income-eligible, which translates into a maximum yearly income of $48,150 for a family of four.
In the past, homeowners have used this loan program to address problems in their residences, including heating and air conditioning upgrades and replacements, roofs, electrical upgrades, plumbing problems and other structural problems. The program also provides loans to address such issues as handicap accessibility and energy efficiency.
According to Jonathan Boeckman, Fairborn’s Neighborhood Betterment Division Coordinator, many of the homeowners who receive assistance through the Residential Rehabilitation Program are elderly, on a fixed income or undergoing some type of financial hardship.
“This program allows qualified homeowners to make necessary repairs in an efficient, affordable manner” said Boeckman.
